Charles Chavis is the Founder and Executive Director of the John Mitchell, Jr. Program for History, Justice, and Race and an Assistant Professor of Conflict Resolution and History at the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University.

Ajanet Rountree, Associate Editor

Ajanet Rountree is the Program Coordinator for the John Mitchell, Jr. Program for History, Justice, and Race, and a doctoral student at the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University.

As a cultural anthropologist, her research and writings affirm Black humanity and identity through the centering of the leadership experiences of Black women of peace and human rights social movements. Follow @jmjp_gmu.
